Tracks Of My Tears

HBO播過一部電影"終極假期(The Last Holiday)"，由LL Cool J及Queen Latifah領銜，外加大鼻子情聖Gerard Depardieu插花演出。

故事敘述一位生活規矩、工作認真的女子Georgia Byrd，對未來充滿夢想，卻因為生性膽小羞怯，只能將自己的夢想剪貼成一本"可能之書(Book of possibilities)"，卻遲遲不敢去放膽追夢。

直到有一天被診斷出得了藍氏症，生命只剩下3週時，她才幡然醒悟，辭掉工作，領出所有的積蓄，飛往捷克的帕普飯店(Grand Hotel Pupp)，去品嘗她一直嚮往的大廚帝迪耶的美食料理，度生命中最後一次假。

雖然涉及生命終點的議題，但是全片依然充滿了美國式(或者好萊塢式)的天真樂觀，果然最後的結局也歡樂光明，觀眾不會產生任何焦慮，可以安心的上床睡覺。

其中一個場景：Georgia在賭場奇蹟似的贏錢後，坐在戲院裡欣賞音樂，台上歌手以接近藍調的風格，用壓抑的嗓音輕唱出"Tracks of My Tears"。Georgia聆聽著，在歌聲中她卸下面具，臉上一時顯露出不甘、無奈、自憐、哀傷等各種情緒，呈現出她內心深沈、晦暗的一面。這個短暫片段，等於加上一抹陰影，讓整部片子稍稍呈現出立體的深度，是讓人印象比較深刻的一幕。

這首"Tracks of My Tears"一直是我很喜歡的曲子，最早聽到是女歌手Linda Ronstadt的版本，有很長一段時間我都以為她是原唱，後來才曉得這是Smokey Robishon和Miracles在1965年推出的單曲。雖然我很喜歡Linda Ronstadt，不過她詮釋這首歌顯得太"加州陽光"了，我更喜歡原唱的味道。R&B天團Boys II Men也翻唱過，只是少了點火候，味道就差了點。

我最喜歡的還是電影中的演唱版本，請到了原唱Smokey Robishon登台，40年後重唱，味道更醇厚、更動人，是整部片子加分最多的部分。可惜網路上找不到，看來得去買原聲帶才行。
